Church was «Saint Nicholas» [1790] [destroyed]
The wooden church was designated as a chapel in 1859 and then was made a parish.
In 1914 both villages of TYKHANJA and ZHYDIVSKE were burned by the Austrians, the church was damaged and all records were destroyed. Nothing now remains. By 1928 a number of the villagers had turned to the Orthodox faith. On August 25, 1929 2 Poles were hired and brought in from Krakow by villagers from nearby Huta Poljans'ka and they killed the priest – o. Pyrih and his daughter Marija.
In 1785 the village lands comprised 7.31 sq km. There were 305 Greek Catholics 0 Roman Catholics and 7 Jews
