The masonry church replaced an older wooden church and is now used by Poles. A masonry chapel built in 1858 commemorates the abolition of serfdom in 1848 and annualy servives were held every May 3.
In 1785 the village lands comprised 8.69 sq km. There were 250 Greek Catholics 105 Roman Catholics and 7 Jews
