Село належало до Горлицького деканату Перемиської єпархії.
Blechnarka – wies położona u źródeł Ropy, lokowana na prawie wołowskim. W jej okolocach mieli swoje okopy konfederaci barscy. Murowana cerkiew pw. śś. Damiana i Kosmy została zbudowana w 1801 r., pierwotnie grekokatolicka, obecnie prawosławna. Po akcji «Wisła» cerkiew zaniedbana, wyremontowana po powrocie Łemków w latach 1958-60. Wewnątrz polichromia i ikonostas z 1865 roku.

Church was «Saints Kosmas and Damian» erected in 1801 [STILL STANDING]
This church was part of the parish in WYSOVA located 2 km away. At one time Blichnarka was an independent parish. On October 7, 1868 the villages of Wysova and Blichnarka purchased their lands from the landowner, Vladyslav Vojtsikovski through the efforts of Rev. Viktor Salamon. The church is now an Orthodox church.
In 1785 the village lands comprised 9.03 sq.km. There were 503 Greek Catholics 0 Roman Catholics and 7 Jews
